Hands-free from your car
Talk to Grok in your car and Pony uses your phone for you. Read a text, reply, look something up, or add it to your calendar without ever touching your phone. Your eyes stay on the road.
Background mode
Keep using your phone while Pony works on a hidden second screen. It tells you before it starts: some banking and secure apps won't run there, alarms still play aloud, and your keyboard may close when Pony taps into a text box (just tap your box again). Pony's typing never mixes with yours.
Find & lock your phone
While connected, Pony can check where your phone was last seen, make it ring, and lock the screen. If it's offline, Pony walks you through Google Find My Device or Samsung Find.
Security audit
A read-only look at your patch level, hidden admin and accessibility apps, sideloaded apps, risky permissions, VPN and proxy settings, and more. You get a plain report with fixes marked "Pony can do it" or "you do it on the phone", applied only with your OK.
Weekly checkup
Every week Pony compares your phone against the baseline from your first audit: new sideloaded apps, new risky permissions or admin apps, network changes, unknown debugging keys. You only hear from Pony when something changed.
Cleanup
See apps you haven't opened in 30+ days, what's eating your storage, and which apps drain your battery. Pony suggests fixes, never deletes photos or videos, and only acts on the items you approve.
Family help
A parent can set Pony up on their own phone and agree to it, so your bot can fix settings or walk them through an app. The same rules apply: nothing happens without that phone owner's OK.
Away from Wi-Fi (optional)
If you ask, Pony can keep working over mobile data through Tailscale until your phone restarts. Pony explains the tradeoff first: never tap Allow on a debugging popup you didn't expect.
One-tap cutoff
Turn off Wireless debugging and Pony is out, instantly. For a full reset, revoke debugging authorizations or turn Developer options off.
Time-limited access
Access is time-limited by default: Pony disconnects itself when each task is done. It stays connected longer only if you say so, and for how long.
Set up in 3 steps
Consent first: before any setup, Pony explains what it can see and do and waits for your yes. Then it walks you through three friendly steps in chat, one at a time.
Install Tailscale
Get the Tailscale app from the Play Store, sign in to the same private network as your Pony bot, and send Pony your phone's 100.x address.
Turn on Wireless debugging
On Wi-Fi, switch on Developer options and Wireless debugging, both built into Android. On Samsung, Pony shows you how to pause Auto Blocker first.
Send the pairing code
Tap "Pair device with pairing code" and send Pony the code and addresses while the popup stays open. Pony connects and sends you a screenshot of your phone as proof.
Pony asks before it sends, pays, or deletes anything.
- It stops at the confirm screen and shows you a screenshot. Nothing is sent, paid, bought, posted, deleted, installed, or uninstalled until you say yes in chat.
- It only opens what a task needs, and never reads out or stores your passwords or one-time codes. It won't try to get around banking apps that block the screen.
- It runs as your own Grok Bot and connects over your private Tailscale network.
- Access is time-limited by default, and you can end it any time with one switch on your phone.
